It’s unbelievable to me that summer’s almost here again. I know…season’s change and we should anticipate, not waiting until the last minute to start making plans.

What activities and road trips will Scott and I plan so we make the most of the summer weather this year?
If you’re anything like us, it can be incredibly difficult to pin down plans. We tend to talk about vacations or short week-end getaways in general terms, never really picking the date or making definite plans. The next thing we know, its Labor Day weekend and we’re in a panic to fit something “fun” in, which ends up in a stressful rush to work everything in at the last minute.
So this year, I’ve decided to relieve the pressure of planning altogether. Instead, we’ll do what’s really the most important thing in spending summer time in a relaxed and happy way. This year, we’ll take those little “spare” moments and just go outside for a walk, or a bike ride, or spend an evening by the fire pit. No big plans, no big deal…just time to enjoy and reflect on how lucky we are to have family and friends to spend time with.
I know so many of you are better than us at making plans, and I’d love to hear how you plan on spending your summer. Are you like us with the best times being the quiet ones, or are you a planner?
I admit it; I’m asking for selfish reasons, I just might steal a couple ideas for next year!
